What is the commodity that any small business has? - the individual person providing the service.
That person could be a sole trader or an employee of the business, but iether way the customer deals with the individual as a person.
If it's a builder for example the customer will make recommendations if the builder has been punctual, clean and tidy and done a good job of the building work and it will be the builder by name who is recommended, the firm he works for is incidental.
This morning I added the pricing content to Jacqueline Clarks Power In Your Hands Web-site.
The web-site was originally set up as a static site but it soon became obvious that Jacqueline needed to be able to edit her content therefore it was converted to a Content Management System (CMS) web-site.
As there was little content initially this side of the project was quite easy, the difficult part was retaining the look of the original web-site.
ComminCraft's Explanations in Plain Englis are a series of information videos, here's one about the World Wide Web - you probably know what the World Wide Web is but aren't sure how it works, this may help, if not it's quite entertaining and they cover all sorts of subjects.
Google seems to be the most popular search engine at the moment, they have all sorts of other tools as well and so have developed many tutorials and instruction guides on their services.
Below is a link to one of Googl's tutorial videos series on Google for WebMasters. There's a lot of useful information there and it's all free.
I've been creating web-sites since the start of the World Wide Web, mostly for pleasure and also in my voluntary work for Plus (formerly 18 Plus).
I did a little freelance work for a company (now closed sadly) in the midlands, but this was just a matter of bunging their copy on to the web, I found this quite un-inspiring.
I also did a betting web-site for a friend but this didn't require any development as it was just an affiliate link with a banner advert, again un-inspiring.
